YATES FARMS, has dedicated 240 acres, for residential and mixed-use planned community neighborhoods.

A Master Plan and detailed Design Guidelines were written to ensure that the special character of Yates Farms was first established and then maintained throughout.  This effort focused not only on architecture and style, but also on a desire to protect the investment of homeowners and retailers who settle in Yates Farms.  The existing plan and guidelines cover eight districts, including the Transition District, which is more particularly described in the Transition District Conditions, Covenants, and Restrictions.  The Transition District includes lower density non-retail uses, such as the Good Life Assisted Living and the Hermosa Church of Christ.
